This week, I voted NO on House Republican’s proposed federal budget, which represents the largest attack on healthcare in American history. The proposed Republican budget would strip healthcare coverage from over 250,000 people in our district, including almost 90,000 children who rely on Medicaid.
Let me be clear: if the Republican budget scheme is passed children and seniors will lose their healthcare, it will raise the cost of health insurance premiums, and thousands of kids will not lose their school lunches.
And what will the Republican budget succeed in? Increasing our national debt by $1.6 trillion and giving their billionaire buddies like Musk- a total of $4.5 trillion in tax breaks.
I am outraged to see the Trump administration carry out unconstitutional acts to gut our government’s checks and balances so that he can fill the pockets of his billionaire friends.
