
Brahmpura questioned, “Where was the Health Minister and their parachute candidate, when the people of Tarn Taran faced dire conditions in hospitals? Announcing a ‘hotline’ for electricity is a blatant acknowledgment of past negligence, revealing how power outages have compromised patient care.”
He emphasized the stark contrast between the government’s claims and the reality, asserting that Punjab’s healthcare system is in distress due to a lack of specialist doctors, essential medications, and proper infrastructure. “Patients are compelled to purchase their own treatments, while long wait times for essential services are the norm,” he noted.
Brahmpura urged Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann to focus on substantive healthcare improvements rather than empty publicity stunts. He demanded immediate action to fill vacant medical positions and ensure consistent availability of vital medicines to restore Punjab’s healthcare integrity.
