However, the tables have now turned, as he finds himself implicated in the high-profile Balwinder Kuku drug trafficking case of Tarn Taran, for which a detailed chargesheet has already been filed.
From the mention of this chargesheet, one is reminded of a serving DIG—also chargesheeted, yet still in service—believed to be among the “blue-eyed” officers shielded by political and bureaucratic influence.
