Relief for Commercial Consumers as Oil Companies Reduce LPG Cylinder Prices by Rs 100

New Delhi: In a welcome move for commercial consumers, oil companies have announced a significant reduction in the prices of LPG cylinders on the first day of the month. The prices for 19 kg commercial LPG cylinders have been decreased by approximately Rs 100, providing relief to businesses and industries reliant on this essential fuel. The revised price for a commercial cylinder now stands at Rs 1680, compared to the previous cost of Rs 1780. However, it’s important to note that there have been no changes in the prices of domestic gas cylinders.

During the preceding month of July, oil marketing companies had raised the prices of commercial LPG cylinders by Rs 7 per cylinder. This increase brought the retail selling price of a 19 kg cylinder to Rs 1780. However, the latest revision has effectively reduced the cost to Rs 1680, providing a respite for commercial consumers who had been facing higher expenses due to the earlier hike.

The revised prices for 19 kg commercial gas cylinders across major cities are as follows: Rs 1820.50 in Kolkata, Rs 1640.50 in Mumbai, and Rs 1852.50 in Chennai.

The recent reduction in LPG cylinder prices comes after decreases seen in the months of May and June, during which the prices were brought down by Rs 83.5 and Rs 172, respectively. This latest revision of Rs 100 marks a substantial change, offering significant relief to consumers who utilize LPG for commercial purposes.

However, it’s important to highlight that there have been no adjustments made to the prices of domestic gas cylinders. The current retail selling price for a 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder in Delhi stands at Rs 1,003. The prices for domestic gas cylinders in other major cities are as follows: Rs 1,029 in Kolkata, Rs 1,002.50 in Mumbai, and Rs 1,018.50 in Chennai.
