Tehran-(Parvasi Media News)Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian today issued an open letter addressed to the American people, urging them to question the Donald Trump administration’s purpose and motive of the ongoing conflict and rejecting the portrayal of Iran as an aggressor.
He questioned whose interests are being served by US military action against Iran, saying, “Was there any objective threat from Iran to justify such behavior?” he asks.
“Does the massacre of innocent children, the destruction of cancer-treatment pharmaceutical facilities, or boasting about bombing a country ‘back to the stone ages’ serve any purpose other than further damaging the United States’ global standing?”
He stressed that ordinary Americans are not viewed as enemies despite decades of hostility.
Pezeshkian further alleged that the United States involvement reflects support for Israel rather than its own national interest.
“Continuing along the path of confrontation is more costly and futile than ever before,” he said.
