Jaskaran, Baljeet and Balraj Detains After Illegal Crossings from Canada

Washington — Multiple individuals intercepted by U.S. Border Patrol officers in Whatcom County following unauthorized entries from Canada are now facing deportation proceedings.
U.S. Border Patrol Chief Patrol Agent Rosario Pete Vasquez announced via social media that agents stationed in Blaine and Sumas, Washington detained three people during the November 14-16 weekend who had crossed unlawfully from Canada into the United States through three distinct incidents in Whatcom County.
“They tried to sneak across the border but were swiftly caught. All are now in removal proceedings,” Chief Patrol Agent Vasquez stated on Monday, November 17. The detained individuals have been identified as Baljeet Singh and Balraj Singh, both Indian nationals, along with Iranian national Daniel Sabet-Rasekhi.  Their immigration or permanent residency status in Canada remains unclear at this time.
Earlier that same week on Wednesday, November 12, Blaine-based agents detained Indian national Jaskaren Singh following his unauthorized entry into the United States from Canada without appropriate documentation. Singh has also been placed in removal proceedings. “Even through the government shutdown, our work continued without pause,” Vasquez noted.
