Modesto(California)A 36-year-old Keyes resident, Jaspal Singh, was taken into custody on Dec. 9 by the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office Special Victim’s Unit following allegations of child sexual abuse.According to investigators, the victim is under the age of 14 and reported that the abuse had occurred over an extended period of time. Detectives launched an undercover operation after learning that Singh had allegedly arranged to meet the minor. He was intercepted in the parking lot of Pitman High School in Turlock, where officers detained him.
During an interview with detectives, Singh reportedly admitted to the allegations. He was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on multiple charges, including committing lewd acts with a child under 14, communicating with a minor with the intent to commit a sex offense, and arranging a meeting with a minor for sexual purposes.Detectives with the Special Victim’s Unit requested a bail enhancement, and Singh is currently being held on a $500,000 bond
