Khaira condemns removal of his Facebook videos and suspension of his account on orders of Punjab Police

In a strongly worded statement issued today, Sukhpal Singh ਖਹਿਰਾ, MLA Bholath, has condemned the removal of his videos and posts, along with the suspension of his verified Facebook ID, following a complaint lodged by Punjab Law Enforcement authorities under instructions from the Bhagwant Mann-led Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government.

Khaira revealed that Facebook informed him that his videos were made unavailable in India “because of a legal request from Punjab Law Enforcement.” He said this shocking action clearly shows how the Mann government is misusing state agencies to suppress the voice of dissent and to silence opposition leaders critical of its failures.

“The Bhagwant Mann government, acting under the dictatorial direction of Arvind Kejriwal, has turned Punjab into a virtual police state where no space is left for dissent or opposition,” said Khaira. “Getting my Facebook ID and videos deleted through the police exposes their deep insecurity and intolerance towards criticism.”

Khaira said that these actions amount to a direct assault on the Fundamental Right to Freedom of Speech and Expression guaranteed under the Constitution of India. He urged Facebook to immediately restore his account and content, warning that succumbing to politically motivated censorship undermines democratic principles.

He further called upon all democratic forces, civil society, and media organizations to unite against such authoritarian tactics being used to stifle opposition voices in Punjab.

“My voice represents the people of Punjab, and no government can silence the truth through intimidation or digital censorship,” Khaira asserted.
