Mandeep Khurmi Himmatpura received the “Best Journalist” award

London/Glasgow (News Desk) Journalist Mandeep Khurmi Himmatpura, who has been actively working in the field of journalism for the past two and a half decades, has been honored with the Best Journalist Award. He received this honor during the 11th UK Bhangra Awards ceremony held in the UK city of West Bromwich. Speaking, the Chief Organizer of the UK Bhangra Awards, Mr. Bobby Bola, said that it is the result of Mandeep Khurmi Himmatpura’s services in the field of journalism that he received this award. It is noteworthy that Mandeep Khurmi, born in Himmatpura village of Moga district of Punjab, started his journey as a journalist in the year 2000. While living in Punjab, he started his journalism journey with the daily newspaper Nawan Zamana, known as the school of journalism, and then served for Ajit, News Time TV channel. After choosing the land of the UK as his home in 2008, he came here and started his services as a journalist for Jagbani, which is still continuing. Along with this, he also wrote columns for various newspapers of the world as a weekly columnist. Mandeep Khurmi Himmatpura says that he is proud that there is no newspaper in the world in which he has not appeared at least once. In 2010, he started a literary website named Himmatpura.com in the name of his village Himmatpura. This website was the first in the world in which links to newspapers from all over the world were posted. Whenever someone wanted to read a newspaper from any country of the world, he had to visit Himmatpura.com. Mandeep Khurmi Himmatpura tried his hand at writing on various subjects. In 2019, he settled in Glasgow, Scotland and started a daily e-paper called Panj Darya. Panj Darya Newspaper has also become the first daily Punjabi e-newspaper in Britain so far. Along with this, Mandeep Khurmi is busy in making the activities of Himmatpura Scotland known to the whole world through Jagbani, PTC Punjabi UK and Panj Darya platform. Mandeep Khurmi considers this honor received during the UK Bhangra Awards ceremony as an honor for his 25 years of journalism. He dedicated this honor to his late father Gurbachan Singh Khurmi (conductor) and said that if he had not supported him, the situation might have been different
