Karambir Singh of Brampton charged for 23 million dollars cocaine at US border

Karamveer Singh, 27, of Brampton, has been charged with importation of cocaine and possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking under the controlled drugs and substances act.
The drug bust happened on June 12 when a commercial truck came into Canada from the U.S. at the Blue Water Bridge border crossing in Point Edward, the Canada Border Services Agency says.
The vehicle was flagged for a secondary inspection, where border services officers and a detector dog found 161 bricks of suspected cocaine contained in six boxes.
The weight of the suspected narcotics was over 187 kg with an estimated street value of $23.3 million, the CBSA says.
The seizure is the fourth large cocaine bust at the Blue Water Bridge border crossing this year, and the CBSA says border services officers have seized some 978 kg of cocaine at southern Ontario ports of entry so far in 2025.
