Poonch: In a fierce joint operation carried out in the Sindhra area of Poonch, security forces neutralized four militants. The intense encounter, which commenced around 11:30 pm on Monday night, lasted for approximately 9 hours, culminating in the elimination of the militants. The identities of the slain militants are currently under investigation.
The security forces, comprising Indian Army Special Forces, Rashtriya Rifles, and Jammu and Kashmir Police personnel, launched the operation under “Operation Trinetra-2,” following intelligence about the presence of militants in the Poonch region.
During the prolonged gunbattle, there was a heavy exchange of fire between the security forces and the militants. To bolster their efforts, the security forces employed advanced surveillance equipment and drones to closely monitor the situation.
