Life often tests us in ways we never imagine. Some battles are physical, some are emotional,
and some test our spirit to its very core. My story is a journey of constant struggle,
resilience, and faith. It is a journey that begins with fragile bones but grows into an
unshakable strength. Today, I am proud to say I run my own company, Nimra Digital, and
work with clients globally. But behind this success lies years of pain, perseverance, and a
refusal to give up.
A Childhood Filled with Challenges
———————————-
My story begins in Lahore, Pakistan. I was just a baby when my mother was cooking in the
kitchen with me in her arms. She heard the sound of water dripping outside, stepped into
the yard, and while bending to turn off the tap, she heard a sharp sound—the sound of my
bone breaking. That was the first of many fractures to come.
From that day onward, my childhood was defined by broken bones. Sometimes it was m
arm, sometimes my leg. For eight long years, injuries became a part of my daily life. My
mother and father would rush me to doctors, applying bandages and hoping I would
eventually heal. My parents tried everything—modern treatments, herbal remedies, even
visiting the most renowned orthopedic surgeon in the city. But the answer was always the
same: “She is too weak. She will never stand on her feet. Get her a wheelchair.”
Hearing those words was devastating for my parents. My mother wept bitterly, while my
father tried to remain strong. Doctors even said children like me rarely live beyond 18
years. Relatives and acquaintances whispered cruel things, some even suggesting my
parents pray for my death. But my mother refused to accept this. She said, “Why should I
pray for her death? I will pray for her life and health.” That faith became the foundation of
my strength.
The Struggle for Education
————————–
Like any child, I dreamed of going to school, carrying books, and learning. But schools were
not welcoming. After years of being taught at home by my mother, we finally approached a
school for children with disabilities. The principal refused to admit me, saying I would fail
and damage the school’s reputation. But after my parents pleaded, I was admitted directly
into 9th grade.
Those years were tough. Our flat was on the second floor, and when no one was home to
carry me upstairs, I would slowly crawl step by step, taking half an hour to reach the top.
Neighbors laughed and mocked me, but I was determined to prove myself.
When exam results came, everyone expected me to fail. Instead, I shocked them all by
passing my matriculation in first division. That victory silenced many voices of doubt and
gave me the courage to move forward.

College, however, brought new discrimination. My wheelchair was seen as a burden.
Teachers made me sit away from the blackboard, and the principal said my presence would
leave a “bad impression.” Despite this, I completed my college years and went on to secure
admission in one of the best universities in Pakistan.
Breaking Barriers in Higher Education
————————————-
University life was another mountain to climb. My father’s income was not enough to pay
the high fees, but I refused to give up. I approached the university owner for a scholarship.
He agreed, but only if I achieved first division marks in my first semester.
I worked harder than ever before. With God’s grace and my parents’ prayers, I not only
passed but excelled. That achievement earned me a full scholarship and the respect of my
peers. Eventually, I completed my Master’s degree in Information Technology—something
many had told me would be impossible.
Facing Rejection in the Job Market
———————————-
With my education complete, I faced another harsh reality: the job market. Despite my
qualifications, employers saw only my wheelchair. For two years, I applied tirelessly, but
every interview ended with the same word—“Sorry.”
Those rejections broke me in ways even fractures never did. I began to question my worth.
But once again, my parents stood by me. They refused to let my dreams die.
A New Beginning in Dubai
————————
My parents scraped together savings and borrowed money to send me to Dubai, hoping
opportunities there would be different. Within three days of arriving, I landed a good job.
My parents and I rejoiced. It felt like a new chapter of hope had begun.
But success attracted jealousy. My boss appreciated me, often surprising me with gifts and
encouragement. Instead of celebrating my efforts, my colleagues grew envious. They
conspired against me, and eventually, I lost the job.
That loss was heartbreaking. I cried for days, unsure of what to do next. But once again, my
father encouraged me: “Forget about jobs. Start your own business. You will create your
own path.” With his support, I began a new journey—entrepreneurship.
Building Nimra Digital
———————-
That was the birth of Nimra Digital. What started as a small venture became a global service
provider. I had already been working remotely with clients during my studies, so I poured
all my skills into building a brand.
Today, Nimra Digital provides website development, SEO, digital marketing, and virtual
assistant services to clients around the world. What others saw as my “weakness” became
my strength. Remote work eliminated physical barriers, allowing me to showcase my
expertise without limits.
Lessons From My Journey
———————–
Looking back, my journey has been one of pain, resilience, and faith. From being told I
would not live past 18 to running a successful IT company in Dubai, every step has been a
victory against doubt and discrimination.
Here are some lessons I carry from my journey:
1. Faith and Family Are Everything – My parents’ unwavering belief in me was the
foundation of my success. Without their prayers and sacrifices, I would not be here.
2. Disability Is Not Inability – Society may see limits, but strength lies in finding possibilities
beyond those limits.
3. Resilience Builds Success – Every rejection, every “sorry,” became fuel for me to work
harder.
4. Create Your Own Path – When doors are closed, build your own door. Entrepreneurship
gave me the freedom that jobs denied.
5. Mockery Can Be Motivation – Neighbors laughed when I crawled up the stairs, but their
laughter became my fire to succeed.
Conclusion
———-
My journey is far from over. I still face challenges every day, but I face them with courage.
The girl who was once too fragile to stand is now strong enough to build a global business. I
share my story not for sympathy, but to inspire anyone who feels the world is against them.
Remember this: life may hand you countless “sorrys,” but your determination can turn them
into “success.”
I am Nimrah, founder of Nimra Digital, and this is my story of resilience, faith, and triumph.
If you’re struggling with challenges—physical, emotional, or social—know this: you are
stronger than you think. And sometimes, the very things people consider your weakness
can become the foundation of your greatest strength.
