Islamabad: In a shocking turn of events, popular Pakistani TikTok personality Mahek Bukhari and her mother, Ansreen Bukhari, have been handed life sentences following their conviction in a double murder case. The verdict was delivered by the court after both mother and daughter were found guilty of their involvement in the tragic incident.
The case revolves around an intricate web of love, deception, and violence. It all began when 18-year-old Saqib crossed paths with 46-year-old Ansreen through social media, sparking a relationship that would ultimately take a dark and deadly turn. Saqib had misrepresented his age, claiming to be 27 years old, which initially led to the gradual progression of their relationship. The two shared their photos on social media platforms, but it was Ansreen’s assertion that Saqib possessed compromising images of her that set the stage for the tragedy.
Reportedly, Saqib allegedly threatened to expose these images, causing Ansreen to reach her breaking point and hatch a sinister plan. The plan was to eliminate Saqib and, tragically, his friend as well. Ansreen Bukhari was residing in Leicester, United Kingdom, along with her daughter Mahek at the time of the incident. She invited Saqib to meet her in a Tesco car park under the pretense of reimbursing him for the 3,000 euros he had spent during their relationship.
Their intention was to steal Saqib’s phone, which held the alleged compromising photos. At the heart of this tragic tale are the lives of Saqib Hussain and Mohammed Hashim Ijazuddin, both just 21 years old, who met a devastating end in a car accident. The sequence of events unfolded when Ansreen terminated her relationship with Saqib, leading her to devise a plan to obtain his phone and erase the photos she feared would be exposed.
Subsequently, masked individuals, summoned by Ansreen, encircled Saqib and his friend, leaving them with no choice but to flee in their vehicle. Pursued by the masked assailants, Saqib drove at high speed in an attempt to escape, ultimately colliding with a roadside tree, resulting in the tragic loss of both young lives. In a verdict that has gripped the nation, the court has now handed down life sentences to both Ansreen Bukhari and her daughter Mahek.
