WASHINGTON: A momentous event is on the horizon as the ‘Statue of Equality’, the largest statue of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar outside India, is set to be unveiled on October 14 in Maryland, USA. Crafted by the celebrated artist and sculptor Ram Sutar, this 19-foot statue pays homage to the principal architect of the Indian Constitution, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.
The ‘Statue of Equality’ stands as a tribute to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s enduring legacy, encapsulating his monumental contributions to shaping the Indian Constitution and advocating for social justice and equality. This statue is part of the ‘Ambedkar International Center’ (AIC), situated on a sprawling 13-acre land in Accokeek, Maryland.
