NAPA Strongly Condemns Lynching of Another Hindu Man in Bangladesh

– The North American Punjabi Association (NAPA) Executive Director Satnam Singh Chahal has strongly condemned the brutal lynching of another Hindu man in Bangladesh, which has occurred just days after the shocking killing of Dipu Chandra Das. He described these incidents as deeply disturbing and alarming, reflecting a growing pattern of targeted violence against religious minorities in the country.

Chahal said that the repeated attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh raise serious questions about the safety, dignity, and basic human rights of minority communities. “The lynching of another Hindu man so soon after the murder of Dipu Chandra Das is not an isolated incident. It points toward a climate of fear, impunity, and intolerance that cannot be ignored by the international community,” he stated.

He emphasized that mob violence and lynching are crimes against humanity and have no place in any civilized society. Chahal urged the Bangladesh government to act decisively by ensuring swift, transparent, and impartial investigations into these killings and by bringing all perpetrators to justice, regardless of their influence or affiliations.

NAPA also expressed serious concern over reports suggesting that minorities in Bangladesh continue to face intimidation, social exclusion, and violence, often without adequate protection from the state. Chahal stressed that mere statements of condemnation are not enough and must be followed by concrete action on the ground to restore confidence among minority communities.

Calling for international attention, Chahal appealed to global human rights organizations, democratic governments, and the United Nations to closely monitor the situation in Bangladesh. He said sustained pressure is essential to ensure accountability and to prevent further loss of innocent lives.

Satnam Singh Chahal concluded by stating that NAPA stands in solidarity with the Hindu community in Bangladesh and with all victims of religious violence. He reaffirmed that the protection of minorities and respect for human rights are fundamental obligations of every state, and failure to uphold them will only deepen divisions and instability in society.
