NAPA Warns Anti-Sikh Elements Misusing AI to Distort Sikh Faith, Culture, and Traditions

The North American Punjabi Association (NAPA), under the leadership of Executive Director Satnam Singh Chahal, strongly warns all anti-Sikh elements who are bent upon maligning and lowering the image of Sikh faith, culture, and social traditions through the misuse of artificial intelligence (AI) or any other medium. We unequivocally condemn any attempt to distort Sikh history, misrepresent our Gurus, or create content aimed at inciting hatred or undermining the values of our community.

Sikhs have a proud and resilient history that spans over five centuries. From the establishment of the Khalsa by Guru Gobind Singh Ji in 1699 to the selfless sacrifices of our martyrs, the Sikh community has always stood for justice, equality, and truth. Our Gurus emphasized the importance of defending righteousness, preserving dignity, and fostering compassion for all. The efforts of anti-Sikh elements to use AI-generated content to mock or defame these principles are not only unethical but deeply offensive to millions of Sikhs around the world.

We remind the public that Sikh culture and traditions are deeply rooted in the values of honesty, courage, and service to humanity. From the construction of the first Gurdwaras to the modern-day contributions of Sikhs in every field, our community has consistently enriched society with knowledge, art, and spirituality. The deliberate attempt to manipulate technology to distort our identity is a threat not only to our heritage but to the moral fabric of society itself.

NAPA urges governments, social media platforms, and technology companies to recognize the gravity of such actions and take decisive steps to prevent the misuse of AI in spreading misinformation about the Sikh community. We also call upon the global Sikh diaspora to remain vigilant, educate the public about Sikh history and values, and firmly reject all efforts aimed at tarnishing our faith and traditions.

Executive Director Satnam Singh Chahal reaffirmed: “We will not allow anyone to misuse technology to undermine the sanctity of our faith or tarnish the rich legacy of Sikh culture. History teaches us that Sikhs have always overcome challenges to preserve truth and justice, and we shall continue to do so.”
