Chandigarh-Former Punjab health minister and Congress leader Balbir Singh Sidhu criticized the Aam Aadmi Party on completion of three years in Punjab, saying, “The Aam Aadmi Party’s three years of disastrous misrule in the state is proof of betrayal, incompetence and false promises.”

Talking about the farmers, Sidhu questioned the Maan government saying, “Before coming to power, the Bhagwant Maan government had promised MSP guarantee on 22 crops, but now it has failed to fulfill its promise. Instead, the Bhagwant Maan government, like the Modi government at the Centre, has started an unnecessary conflict with the farmers by arresting them.”

“During Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s rule, the governance of Punjab was not only outsourced – it was sold to Delhi. Our state’s resources were misused, and promises made by AAP were openly broken,” he said.

Highlighting the reality of the so-called ‘radical Imander government’, Sidhu said, “In the last three years, AAP has completely failed to control corruption, maintain law and order or revive the economy. AAP has plunged Punjab into deep chaos during this period.”

Focusing on the health sector in Punjab, Sidhu said, “As a former health minister of Punjab, I can say with confidence that we have not seen any development in the state’s health sector. The AAP government had promised a world-class health model, but they have failed to deliver. The AAP government has neglected the projects of the health department in the last three years.”

Targeting the AAP government led by Bhagwant Maan, he said, “The women of Punjab have been waiting for three years for AAP to fulfill its promise of Rs 1,000 per month. This promise along with many other promises is still unfulfilled. The Maan government has made many promises to the people but has not fulfilled any of them.”

He concluded, “Instead of progress, Punjab has witnessed unprecedented anarchy, unchecked misrule and mockery of accountability under Aam Aadmi Party rule.”
