On bail, Kejriwal dictating terms in Punjab : Chugh

Chandigarh/Delhi:BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh questioned former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s credentials to make announcements on behalf of the Punjab government.

In a strongly-worded statement, Chugh said Kejriwal, who is currently out on bail and facing various criminal charges, has arrogated to himself all powers belonging to Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, thereby giving an impression to the people of Punjab that he has practically taken over governance in the state.

“Kejriwal has usurped all powers of Bhagwant Mann and has brought shame to the people of Punjab,” Chugh said.

Chugh further stated that the entire state is already aware of Kejriwal’s plans to pave his entry into the Rajya Sabha through Punjab. “By camping in Ludhiana and making announcements on behalf of the Punjab government, Kejriwal is only demonstrating that Bhagwant Mann is merely a pawn, who is being used for Kejriwal’s own political interests,” he added.

Expressing serious concern over the deteriorating law-and-order situation in Punjab, Chugh highlighted that every day there are clear indications of a complete breakdown of law and order. “Even today, there was a brutal attack on an AAP leader, apart from an attack on a Himachal Roadways bus,” he pointed out.

He asserted that the AAP government has lost its moral ground to rule the state, as there is a complete collapse of governance on all fronts.
