U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has arrested Gurdev Singh, a 23-year-old Indian national, in French Camp, California, as part of a targeted criminal enforcement operation. He illegally entered the United States and was taken into custody on March 12th. Subsequent investigations identified Singh as being associated with transnational criminal organizations and revealed that he was known to illegally carry firearms and was actively involved in criminal activity both in the U.S. and abroad. Before his ICE arrest, the California Highway Patrol arrested Singh on March 6th for carrying a loaded firearm in public, not being the registered owner of a loaded firearm, possession of a stolen vehicle, and child endangerment. A subsequent search warrant resulted in the discovery of seven additional firearms at Singh’s residence and two more in a vehicle on the property. He will remain in ICE custody pending removal proceedings.
