Amritsar- Sikh thinker Prof. Sarchand Singh Khayala said that Bibi Jagir Kaur, the former president of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, who is doing politics by accusing Akali Dal President Sukhbir Singh Badal of not following the decree issued by Shri Akal Takht Sahib, should tell whether only her political opponents are bound to follow the decree of Shri Akal Takht Sahib? Are they themselves devoted to the Guru Granth-Gurupanth and committed to the preservation of traditions?
Prof. Sarchand Singh said that despite the Akal Takht Sahib issuing an order to the Sikh community to boycott the so-called Sikh preacher Ranjit Singh Dhadrianwala, Bibi Jagir Kaur has directly challenged the Akal Takht Sahib by sharing the stage with him on the occasion of the inauguration of the new branch of Dhadrianwala’s Dera at Nadala in Kapurthala district. But I am surprised that despite this great disobedience by Bibi Jagir Kaur, no attention was paid by the Secretariat of Shri Akal Takht Sahib. Does the silence of the new Jathedar in this case not prove his weakness? Or do they have no understanding of the decree issued by Shri Akal Takht Sahib? He said that it is even more shameful for the Panth that the former President of SGPC and the present member of SGPC have shamefully turned their backs on Shri Akal Takht Sahib and played with Panth traditions by violating the decree. He questioned whether Bibi Jagir Kaur considers herself above the Sangat that the decree issued in connection with Dhadrianwala cannot be applied to her. Is this Bibi Ji’s dedication to Shri Akal Takht Sahib?
Prof. Sarchand Singh said that Shri Akal Takht Sahib had constituted a sub-committee of scholars to investigate the misrepresentations made by Ranjit Singh Dhadrianwala regarding Panthic traditions and Gurmat. On the report of which the Panch Singh Sahibans on Shri Akal Takht Sahib issued a decree in a meeting on 24 August 2020, stating that Ranjit Singh Dhadrianwala has made some false statements regarding Gurmat and he has also refused to give an explanation regarding these statements. Therefore Sikh Sangats, Institutions and Gurdwara Managers at home and abroad were ordered to boycott Dhadrianwala’s programs until he appeared before Shri Akal Takht Sahib and apologized for his false statements. Akal Takht Sahib had warned Dhadrianwala that strict action would be taken against him if he did not desist.
Prof. Sarchand Singh said that Dhadrianwala has not appeared at Akal Takht Sahib and is still a fugitive. Which questions his devotion to Akal Takht Sahib. His ego is not allowing him to devote himself to Akal Takht. Personalities like Bibi Jagir Kaur from above are working side by side with them and trying to strengthen their ego and pride by increasing their strength.
