Chandigarh/Ludhiana-Youth Akali Dal President Sarabjeet Singh Jhinjer today kicked off the campaign for Shiromani Akali Dal’s Ludhiana West candidate Advocate Parupkar Singh Ghuman by holding meetings across various areas of Ludhiana West.Addressing party workers at a public meeting, he said, “Today under Aam Aadmi Party rule, Punjab is burning. Grenades are being thrown daily, businessmen are receiving extortion calls and open threats, while the Bhagwant Mann-led government is either asleep or busy dancing at the wedding of their supremo. To safeguard Punjab’s peace and social bond, it is imperative to form a Shiromani Akali Dal government in Punjab. I am confident that the people of Ludhiana will take the lead by ensuring the victory of Adv. Parupkar Singh Ghuman.”
He further said, “I urge all our party workers gathered here today to take the development agenda of the Shiromani Akali Dal to every household. Remind the people that if any real development took place in Punjab, it was under the Akali Dal government. We made Punjab a power surplus state, developed world-class roads, airports, sewerage systems, and focused on the holistic development of the state. The Shiromani Akali Dal has always upheld communal harmony, maintained law and order, and ensured that people lived without fear—no extortion, no threats.”
He exhorted the workers further, “Take these facts to every house. If we speak on real issues, no one can compete with us. I call upon our youth workers to go out and proudly highlight the work done by the Akali government. Challenge these Congress and AAP workers who have only looted Punjab and pushed it into deeper debt. Let’s talk facts. I also openly challenge any spokesperson of these parties to a public debate solely on development. If I have to lie to win, I will quit politics forever.”
He added, “Today, grenade attacks, bomb blasts, and lootings have become a daily affair in Punjab. Meanwhile, our Hon’ble CM Bhagwant Mann has completely surrendered to his Delhi bosses. Such is the control of Delhi that even Kejriwal’s daughter’s wedding is happening at Kapurthala House—the official residence of the Punjab CM in Delhi. Punjab is being run directly from Delhi; the CM is merely a rubber stamp for decisions drafted elsewhere.”
Speaking about the SAD candidate, Jhinjer said, “I urge you all to vote for a person who has always worked for the people of Punjab. Parupkar ji’s father, a senior lawyer, took up free cases for the needy. Following in his footsteps, Parupkar ji is also committed to justice, socially active, highly educated, and has a clean image. He has been serving the people for many years.”
He concluded, “This election will lay the groundwork for the Shiromani Akali Dal’s return to power in 2027. The golden days of Punjab will begin again with the victory of the SAD. We will form Youth Akali Dal teams in every ward of Ludhiana West—this is our election for the resurgence of the SAD and of Punjab.”
