Misconduct Towards Woman MLA and Constitutional Violations Highlight AAP’s Ineffectiveness – Brahmpura

Tarn Taran  — Ravinder Singh Brahmpura, Vice President of the Shiromani Akali Dal, In-charge of the Khadoor Sahib constituency and Ex-mla has strongly condemned the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government under Bhagwant Mann for its troubling political vendetta and actions that threaten democracy.
Brahmpura criticized the government’s decision to bar Ganeev Kaur Majithia, an elected woman MLA, from her own home, stating, “This blatant violation of democratic principles reflects the AAP’s authoritarian mindset.” He described the treatment of Bikram Singh Majithia as intimidation rather than legitimate investigation, accusing the government of employing oppressive tactics to instill fear among citizens.
Furthermore, he highlighted the hypocrisy within the AAP, pointing out that while a former cabinet minister is unfairly labeled a terrorist over unfounded allegations, Chief Minister Mann protects MLAs involved in anti-national conspiracies, including drug trafficking and illegal sand mining. “Such actions demonstrate a complete disregard for national integrity,” Brahmpura stated.
Brahmpura also pointed to the recent actions taken by Hon’ble Governor of Punjab, Gulab Chand Kataria Ji, in response to the actions of certain AAP MLAs implicated in serious offences. “The Governor’s firm stance is a crucial step in restoring the integrity of our state governance. We stand in solidarity with the efforts to ensure accountability and hope that the strictest actions will be enacted against those who conspire against our nation,” Brahmpura remarked.
Brahmpura issued a warning to the AAP government, asserting, “No level of oppression can disguise the failures of the Bhagwant Mann administration. The Shiromani Akali Dal stands firmly for truth and justice and will not tolerate this cycle of political vendetta.”
In conclusion, he called on the AAP to focus on a constructive agenda rather than targeting political opponents, affirming that the people of Punjab will hold the government accountable for its anti-people and authoritarian actions in the upcoming elections
