Immediate strict action sought against SSP Traffic who assault on Sikh Driver in Jammu-Satnam Singh Chahal

The North American Punjabi Association (NAPA), under the leadership of Executive Director Satnam Singh Chahal, strongly condemns the recent incident in Jammu where SSP Traffic was caught on video slapping a Sikh driver and kicking his fallen turban. This is a blatant display of abuse of power and complete disrespect toward the Sikh community.

The turban is a sacred symbol of faith, honour, and identity for Sikhs worldwide. To assault an individual and desecrate this symbol in such a manner is utterly shameful and unacceptable. NAPA demands a thorough investigation into this incident and insists that strict disciplinary action be taken against the officer involved. No individual, regardless of their position, should be allowed to act with such impunity.

The Sikh community and all citizens deserve safety, dignity, and respect. We call upon the authorities to ensure accountability and uphold justice in this matter.

As per the shocking video footage emerging from Jammu, the SSP Traffic was seen slapping a Sikh driver and then shamelessly kicking his fallen turban. This is not only an abuse of power but also an attack on the dignity of the Sikh community. Who granted him the authority to use such force and commit such a humiliating act? The turban is not just a piece of cloth—it is a sacred symbol of faith and honor. Such blatant disrespect and misuse of authority cannot be tolerated in any civilized society. This shameful incident must be investigated thoroughly, and strict action should be taken to ensure that those responsible are held accountable and punished without delay.
