NAWANSHAHR: Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann led a commemorative event at Khatkar Kalan, paying homage to the indomitable spirit of Shaheed Bhagat Singh on the occasion of his 116th birth anniversary. Mann highlighted the perpetual impact of the iconic revolutionary and emphasized the enduring resonance of Bhagat Singh’s ideals in contemporary society. The Chief Minister vowed to integrate the rich heritage of Punjab’s historical figures into the educational curriculum, ensuring that the sacrifices of the nation’s forefathers are never forgotten.

Expressing admiration for Bhagat Singh’s unwavering determination during the freedom struggle, Mann drew a poignant contrast to contemporary aspirations, remarking, “At an age when our youth seek motorcycles, Bhagat Singh sought independence from British rule, underscoring a fundamental shift in ideologies.”

Addressing those who questioned Bhagat Singh’s martyrdom, Mann firmly reiterated the immensity of Bhagat Singh’s sacrifice and his timeless influence on the nation. He refrained from criticism, choosing instead to focus on the transformative changes his administration has initiated in recent years. The Chief Minister highlighted the government’s efforts to provide employment opportunities, subsidize electricity costs, enhance educational institutions, and modernize healthcare facilities, positively impacting the lives of Punjab’s citizens.

Reaffirming his dedication to the welfare of Punjab and its people, Mann promised an equitable and prosperous future. He pledged, “As the chosen caretaker of a family comprising three and a half million members, I assure that none shall suffer hunger, oppression, or injustice.
