The silence of Panthic organizations and Sikh sects gave the Badals an opportunity to use power again

Amritsar/Birmingham (England) – In a joint statement, the leaders of the International Panthic Dal strongly condemned the decision taken by the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee today and said that the silence of Panthic organisations and Sikh sects has once again allowed the Badals to do as they please.
Dal President Bhai Raghbir Singh from England, International Chief Organiser Bhai Paramjit Singh Dhadi, General Secretary and Chief Spokesperson Bhai Kaptan Singh, President Pargat Singh from Italy and President Nachhattar Singh from Austria said that the questions raised by Singh Sahib Giani Raghbir Singh, Head Granthi, should have been answered satisfactorily by the Shiromani Committee, but this was not done.
They allege that the Shiromani Committee is running under a family, and they do not want the decisions of the community to be taken with consultation. That is why the Jathedars who had issued orders in the light of Gurmat regarding action against the Badals on December 2, 2024, were repeatedly humiliated and dismissed. According to the statement, the situation had also become such that President Dhami Sahib had promised the community that in future the appointment or retirement of any Jathedar would be as per the decision of the committee formed for consultation with the entire community, but this promise was not fulfilled.
The leaders said that a major reason for this is that the silence of Panthic organisations and Sikh sects in the country and abroad has allowed the Badals to do as they please again.
He said that big decisions were taken by organisations in England, America, Canada and Europe that the Badals would not be allowed to do whatever they wanted, but most of the organizations and sects remained silent on the occasion. The leaders said that just as Jathedar Giani Raghbir Singh should have spoken earlier, he also did not seize the opportunity. In this way, the organizations that remained silent on the occasion are also equally guilty according to them.
He said that although a few organizations continued to perform their duties, the nation as a whole could not come together and seize the opportunity. That is why today such decisions are being imposed on the nation by the executive committee.
The statement said that Head Granthi Giani Raghbir Singh has been retired. Now it is time to call Sarbat Khalsa. The leaders said that Giani Raghbir Singh had the opportunity earlier too, but he did not call Sarbat Khalsa. Now the entire community, organizations and Sikh sects should come together and decide that Sarbat Khalsa should be called at Sri Akal Takht Sahib and joint decisions should be taken for the greater interests of the community, so that the Shiromani Committee can be freed from the clutches of the Badal family and the Sikh community can make its Panthic decisions according to its principles.

The sectarian bans at home and abroad and the silence of the Sikh sects gave the Badal family an opportunity to arbitrariness again.
Amritsar/Birmingham (England) – The leaders of the International Panthak Dal issued a joint statement strongly condemning the decision taken by the Shiromani Gurdwara Management Committee today. Dal President Bhai Raghbir Singh from England, International Chief Organizer Bhai Paramjit Singh Dhadi, General Secretary and Chief Spokesman Bhai Kaptan Singh, President Pragat Singh from Italy and Nachtar Singh from Austria said that the Shiromani Committee should have given satisfactory answers to the questions raised by Singh Sahib Giani Raghbir Singh, Head Granthi, but this was not done. They allege that the Shiromani Committee is running under the control of a family and they do not want the decisions of the community to be taken through mutual deliberation.
He said that on December 2, 2024, the Jathedars who had issued orders against the Badal family in the light of Gurmat ki Roshni, were gradually humiliated and released from service.
The statement said that Pradhan Dhami Sahib had promised the community that in future the appointment or dismissal of any Jathedar would be as per the decision of such a committee, which would be constituted after consultation with the entire community, but this promise was not fulfilled.

He said that if Gnani Raghbir Singh should have been vocal earlier, he too could not use the opportunity. Thus the silent castes are equally responsible.
He said that although some Jathebandis continued to perform their duties, the community as a whole could not unite and handle the situation. That is why today the executive committee is imposing such decisions on the people.
The statement said that Head Granthi Gyani Raghbir Singh has been relieved of service. Now it is time to call Sarbat Khalsa. Leaders said that earlier even Gnani Raghbir Singh had an opportunity, but he did not call Sarbat Khalsa. Now the entire community, Jathebandis and Sikh sects should unite and decide to call Sarbat Khalsa on Shri Akal Takht Sahib, so that collective decisions can be taken in the wider interest of the Panth and the Shiromani Committee can be freed from the influence of the Badal family.

Silence of Panthic Organizations and Sikh Sects in India and Abroad Has Given the Badal Family Another Opportunity to Act Arbitrarily
Amritsar/Birmingham (England) – Leaders of the International Panthic Dal, in a joint statement, strongly condemned the decision taken today by the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC). They stated that the silence of Panthic organizations and Sikh sects in India and abroad has once again provided the Badal family with an opportunity to act arbitrarily.
The statement was issued by UK President Bhai Raghbir Singh, International Chief Organizer Bhai Parmjeet Singh Dhadi, General Secretary and Chief Spokesperson Bhai Captain Singh, Italy President Pragat Singh, and Austria President Nachhattar Singh.
The leaders said that the SGPC should have provided a satisfactory response to the questions raised by Singh Sahib Giani Raghbir Singh, Head Granthi, but failed to do so. They alleged that the SGPC is functioning under the control of a single family and does not wish for Panthic decisions to be taken through collective consultation.
They further stated that the Jathedars who had issued directives on December 2, 2024, against the Badal family in the light of Gurmat were systematically humiliated and removed from service.
According to the statement, SGPC President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami had promised the community that any future appointment or removal of a Jathedar would be decided by a committee formed after consulting the entire Panth. However, this promise was not fulfilled.
The leaders noted that Panthic organizations in the UK, USA, Canada, and Europe had taken firm decisions that the Badal family would not be allowed to act unilaterally, yet many organizations and sects remained silent at the crucial moment. They added that while Giani Raghbir Singh had an opportunity earlier to take a stronger stand, he too did not seize the moment. Therefore, those who remained silent share equal responsibility.
Although a few organizations fulfilled their duty, the community as a whole failed to unite and address the situation effectively. As a result, the Executive Committee is now imposing such decisions upon the Panth.
The statement concluded that with the removal of Head Granthi Giani Raghbir Singh, the time has come to convene a Sarbat Khalsa. The leaders emphasized that the entire Sikh community, Panthic organizations, and sects must unite to call a Sarbat Khalsa at Sri Akal Takht Sahib to take collective decisions in the larger interest of the Panth and to free the SGPC from the influence of the Badal family.
