Three youths from the nearby village Phagguwala have been arrested by the Moonak police. Against this, the villagers under the leadership of Shiromani Akali Dal General Secretary Vinarjit Singh Goldy today raised slogans against the Punjab government.
Vinarjit Singh Goldy said that on the instructions of the Punjab government, which was alarmed by the viral video of Canadian citizen Jagman Samra belonging to village Phagguwala regarding Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the police have arrested three youths of the village Ravinder Singh Rovi, Rupinder Singh Romi and Jaswinder Singh Jassi under an alleged false case.
He claimed that these youths have nothing to do with Jagman Samra. He said that these youths belonging to good families are doing their farming and other businesses. He warned that if the above youths are not released, they will raise their voice at the Punjab level. On this occasion, Tejinder Singh Sanghredi, Gurpreet Singh Kaka Sarpanch, Rupinder Singh Randhawa, Harvinder Singh Goldy, Bharpur Singh Phagguwala, Gamdur Singh former Sarpanch, Iqbal Singh Poonia and Harvinder Singh Jalan etc. were present.
Later, all the leaders and villagers discussed the issue with Inspector Malvinder Singh, head of Bhawanigarh police station, as a delegation. The police officer said that these persons have been arrested by the Munak police under an old case.
Meanwhile, the state leader of Shiromani Akali Dal Punar Surjithi, Prakash Chand Garg also condemned the arrest of the youth of Phagguwala village.
