UK MP Tanmanjeet Singh Dhesi Reconnects with Palestinian Ambassador, Calls for Immediate End to Gaza Conflict

London – UK Labour MP Tanmanjeet Singh Dhesi has renewed his call for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, citing the devastating humanitarian toll of the ongoing conflict. In a public statement, Dhesi described the situation as a “moral imperative” and emphasized the urgent need to end the violence for the sake of innocent civilians caught in the crossfire.

“Given the starvation, lack of aid, and relentless bloodshed, an immediate end to the fighting in Gaza is essential for the sake of humanity,” said Dhesi, who represents Slough in Parliament.

The MP also confirmed that he had reconnected with Palestinian Ambassador Dr. Husam Zomlot to discuss potential pathways to peace and explore ways to strengthen collaboration in support of diplomatic efforts.

“Glad to reconnect with Palestinian Ambassador @hzomlot to see how we can better work together to help establish lasting peace,” Dhesi wrote on social media, reinforcing his commitment to supporting meaningful dialogue and justice in the region.

Dhesi has long been a vocal advocate for human rights and international cooperation, particularly regarding the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. His continued engagement with diplomatic figures underscores a growing push within UK politics for more proactive peacebuilding measures.

As violence and humanitarian concerns continue to escalate in Gaza, Dhesi’s stance adds to the mounting international pressure for a permanent ceasefire and a renewed commitment to a two-state solution based on justice and mutual recognition.
