Unleash your creativity through ‘Create in India’ Challenges

The Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi during his 114th edition of Mann Ki Baat address, emphasized upon the rapidly changing nature of jobs and the growing opportunities in creative sectors such as gaming, filmmaking etc. The Prime Minister underscored the immense potential of India’s creative talents and called on creators to participate in the 25 Challenges under the theme ‘Create in India’, being organized by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.

 

Emerging Creative Sectors to reshape job market

In his address, the Prime Minister highlighted the emerging sectors that are reshaping the job market, stating, “In these changing times, the nature of jobs is changing, and new sectors are emerging such as gaming, animation, reel making, film making or poster making. If you can perform well in any of these skills… your talent can get a very big platform.” He further noted the growing scope for bands, community radio enthusiasts, and creative professionals.

To harness and nurture this potential, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has launched 25 challenges aimed at promoting talent and creativity across a variety of fields, including music, education, and anti-piracy. The Prime Minister encouraged creators to visit the website wavesindia.org to participate in these challenges. “I specially urge the creators in the country to ensure participation and bring their creativity to the fore,” he said.

Create in India Challenge – Season One

On 22nd August, 2024, Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Railways, and Electronics & Information Technology, had unveiled the Create in India Challenge – Season One at New Delhi. These challenges will serve as a precursor to the upcoming World Audio Visual & Entertainment Summit (WAVES), aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of “Design in India, Design for the World,” articulated during the 78th Independence Day address.
