Amritsar:Punjab BJP Spokesperson Prof. Sarchand Singh Khiala has welcomed the U.S. decision to designate “The Resistance Front (TRF),” a shadow outfit of Lashkar-e-Taiba and responsible for the Pahalgam attack, as a global terrorist organization. He said this move is a strong international endorsement of India’s national security approach and its firm stand on cross-border terrorism, as recognized at the United Nations and on global platforms.
Prof. Khiala stated that this development is a major success under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and reflects the strategic foresight of Home Minister Amit Shah and External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar, who have consistently exposed Pakistan and its terror nexus before the international community. The U.S. acknowledgment marks a historic shift in India’s political and strategic narrative. He emphasized that this matter is not limited to terrorism alone, but is deeply connected to India’s political sovereignty, democratic values, and the safety of its citizens.
He further said that the decisive American move puts Pakistan in the global dock. It is now evident that even former U.S. President Donald Trump, who hosted Pakistan Army Chief Asim Munir, has realized that double standards on terrorism are a dangerous path. He added that Pakistan’s false narratives and ISI-backed terrorist groups have now come under the radar of the Western world.
Prof. Khiala said TRF is not only responsible for the massacre of innocent civilians in Pahalgam but also for multiple attacks on Indian security forces. It was a key tool in Pakistan’s larger conspiracy to disrupt the peace in Kashmir after the abrogation of Article 370.
Commenting on the success of ‘Operation Sandhoor,’ Prof. Khiala said, “Pakistan’s strategy of funding, arming, and sheltering terrorists had become a threat to global peace. But the New India of the Modi era has shattered those intentions and made it clear that ‘New India does not remain silent – it strikes back inside enemy territory and shows it to the world.’”
He concluded by stating, “Under BJP rule, there is zero tolerance for terrorism. This is the New India — it doesn’t just wait, it delivers swift justice. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, India’s voice now echoes powerfully across the globe.”
