Tarn Taran – Shiromani Akali Dal Vice President and former MLA from Khadoor Sahib assembly constituency Ravinder Singh Brahmpura has recently appreciated the courage and awareness of the Sikh youth who asked Congress leader Rahul Gandhi sharp and bold questions about the 1984 Sikh massacre and the Congress party’s attitude towards Sikhs during a program in America and has strongly condemned the Sikh genocide committed by the Congress.
Mr. Brahmpura said that the courage and clarity with which that youth questioned Rahul Gandhi about the atrocities committed by the Congress on Sikhs, especially the planned genocide of 1984, Operation Blue Star, calling the Anandpur Sahib resolution separatist and sheltering and protecting Sajjan Kumar, Jagdish Tytler and other Congress criminals, is a testament to the awareness and commitment of the Sikh youth towards the truth. He said that the youth gave a befitting reply to Rahul Gandhi’s statement that Sikhs are not limited to religious symbols only, but also want freedom of speech and expression which was severely suppressed during the Congress rule.
Mr. Brahmpura strongly condemned the Congress party and said that the 1984 Sikh massacre was not a mere mistake, but it was a planned genocide to eliminate the Sikh community, for which the Congress party is directly responsible. The attack on Darbar Sahib and the open murder of thousands of innocent Sikhs is a dark chapter in Indian history, the wounds of which are still fresh today and in which the involvement of many culprits like Jagdish Tytler is clearly evident.
He stressed that it is the duty of all of us to make our children and the younger generation well aware of the atrocities committed against the Sikhs by the Congress and this genocide. They should know the truth about how the Congress governments, in the intoxication of power, trampled on the rights of the Sikhs, indiscriminately oppressed them and tried to protect many culprits including Jagdish Tytler for a long time. This information is extremely important to protect our future and to prevent such history from repeating itself.
Mr. Brahmpura also made a sharp attack on the Punjab Congress and said that the Congress party, which is guilty of genocide of the Sikh community, whose culprits include names like Jagdish Tytler, is being followed on the soil of Punjab by what right? The leaders of the Punjab Congress should answer the Sikhs as to how they are supporting the party, which killed thousands of our brothers and sisters, destroyed our holy places and saved the culprits. Their loyalty to the Sikhs and their right to represent Punjab are under suspicion.
He finally appealed to the entire Sikh community to never forget their history and always be vigilant against political parties like Congress who have tried to weaken the Sikhs and trample on their rights. He said that the community needs such courageous youth who are not afraid to speak the truth and raise their voices for their rights.
