Influencer’s ‘Celebration’ Video Leads to SUV Seizure by Punjab Police
Dasuya: An Instagram influencer from Dasuya in Hoshiarpur has landed in trouble for shooting a video while sitting on the bonnet of a moving SUV driven on Jalandhar-Jammu national highway.
The social media influences, Gauri Virdi, was celebrating achieving 1 million followers on Instagram holding golden coloured air ballons of ‘1’ and ‘M’.
Soon, Dasuya police sprung into action and traced the vehicle from it’s registration number. “The Thar owner belonged to Usman Shahid village of Dasuya. We immediately took possession of the vehicle and brought it to the Dasuya police station. The vehicle has been impounded,” said Dasuya SHO Balwinder Singh.
He said the young woman, Gauri Virdi, who is seen in the video, belongs to Dasuya and lives mostly in Chandigarh.
He said that no FIR has been lodged as yet in the case.
