Amit Shah Urges Manipur Communities to Reject Violence

New Delhi: Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday appealed to both Meitei and Kuki communities to shun violence and hold talks with the government.

Speaking on no-confidence motion in Lok Sabha, Shah said, “I am holding separate talks with members of both Meitei and Kuki communities.”

“I, on behalf of whole House, appeal for peace in Manipur,” Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla said before adjourning the house for the day.

Targeting Opposition for bringing the motion, Shah said they may not have confidence in PM Modi but people of India have.

Home Minister Amit Shah added that no-confidence motion has been brought to create confusion among people.

He said people and Parliament have full confidence in the Modi government. “People have voted Modi government to power twice. Modi most successful PM in India”, the Home Minister said.
