Flood-Affected Areas Prompt Holiday Extension in Ferozepur Schools until Aug 26

Ferozpur:  As the torrential waters of the Sutlej and Beas rivers continue to impact numerous villages across Ferozepur and Fazilka districts, school administrations have extended holidays until August 26. The devastating floodwaters have prompted the evacuation of multiple villages, forcing the Ferozepur district administration to suspend school activities for safety reasons. The decision comes in the wake of impassable roads and flooded campuses, rendering it impossible for students to commute safely to schools.

In an official directive issued by the district administration, schools experiencing flooding or road inaccessibility have been granted the liberty to remain closed from August 19 to August 26. The move aims to ensure the safety and well-being of students, acknowledging the dire circumstances that the floodwaters have presented.
