Indian Ambassador to USA Taranjit Singh Sandhu pays obeisance at Sachkhand Harmandir Sahib

Amritsar: Indian Ambassador to the United States of America (USA) Taranjit Singh Sandhu today paid obeisance at Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib. He was honoured at the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) member Bhai Rajinder Singh Mehta, Surjit Singh Bhitewad, secretary Partap Singh and other officials.

During this time Taranjit Singh Sandhu visited SGPC headquarters Teja Singh Samundri Hall named after his grandfather and remembered his elders.

On this occasion, Taranjit Singh Sandhu said that Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib is the center of faith for the entire humanity, from where human gets spiritual power. He said that he visits every year to pay obeisance at Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib, to seek blessings of the Guru. He said that his family has a close relationship with the SGPC. He said his elder Teja Singh Samundri contributed greatly during the establishment of SGPC and participated in many morchas (fronts). He said that it is a matter of pride for our family that Teja Singh was a high-ranking leader of the Sikh community.

Speaking further, Taranjit Singh Sandhu said that the present time is the era of technology and the Sikh community should also make more efforts to make students experts in technical education in its educational institutions.

On this occasion, SGPC member Bhai Rajinder Singh Mehta said that it is a great pride for the Sikh community that the grandson of Sikh leader Teja Singh Samundri, Taranjit Singh Sandhu is representing India as Ambassador to the USA.

Also present on this occasion included SGPC additional secretary Kulwinder Singh Ramdas, Bijai Singh, Gurinder Singh Mathrewal, Gurmeet Singh Buttar, Jasjit Singh Samundri, dean of Sri Guru Ramdas Medical University Dr AP Singh, DCP Law, and Order Parminder Singh Bhandal, assistant secretary Shahbaz Singh, Paramjit Singh, manager Bhagwant Singh Dhangera, superintendent Malkeet Singh Beharwal, manager Satnam Singh Riar, information officers Amritpal Singh and Randhir Singh and other key officials.
