Appointment of Campus Managers & Security Guards in Punjab Govt Schools
Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar: The Punjab Education Department has issued directives pertaining to the appointment of campus managers and security guards in government schools across the state. This development also includes details about the schools selected for the first phase of this initiative and the newly appointed staff.
Campus managers have been assigned to 33 schools in Ludhiana, while an impressive 260 schools throughout the state have received these appointments. Notably, this staffing has been outsourced, a decision that has sparked debate and opposition among teachers.
However, proponents argue that this move aims to alleviate the workload on teachers. According to educators, rather than outsourcing these positions, individuals with a deep understanding of school operations should be deployed from within the government workforce.
