Allegations of Policemen’s Links with Drug Smugglers & Gangsters Surface in Ferozepur

FEROZEPUR: Startling allegations of links between 11 policemen, including a Station House Officer (SHO), and drug traffickers and gangsters have come to light in the Ferozepur district of Punjab. These serious accusations were brought forward by a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) in the region. A formal complaint has been lodged with higher authorities, urging immediate action in response to the allegations. It’s worth noting that this is not the first instance where law enforcement officials have faced allegations of connections with smugglers.

The Complaint filed provides extensive details about the alleged activities of the smugglers and how they manage to evade police raids, even when the law enforcement teams possess accurate information. Shockingly, despite having precise intelligence, these operations often yield no results. Some Punjab Police personnel and the implicated SHO are believed to be the sources leaking this critical information.

Notably, The SHO named in the complaint is responsible for overseeing the border station in Ferozepur. This position has raised suspicions about his associations with numerous drug traffickers operating in the area. Superintendent of Police, D Randhir Kumar, acknowledged being informed about the matter and stated that further legal action would be initiated based on the evidence at hand. A dedicated team is currently gathering all pertinent evidence, which will be instrumental in determining the course of action moving forward.
