Rail Traffic Disruption: Several Trains Cancelled & Partially Affected in Punjab for Next 5 Days

FEROZEPUR: The Railways have announced the temporary cancellation of four trains and partial cancellation of eight trains from September 21 to 25 in Punjab due to a traffic disruption on the Ludhiana-Ferozepur Cantt Falika rail section. The hindrance is a consequence of ongoing work to elevate the Road Over Bridge (ROV) near Ferozepur Cantonment Railway Station, disrupting normal rail operations.

As part of the measures, four trains will be temporarily cancelled, and eight trains will now depart from Ferozepur City Railway Station instead of Ferozepur Cantt Railway Station due to the partial cancellation. The electrification work in the Ferozepur cant yard necessitates the raising of the ROV to ensure a seamless progression of electrification tasks. Among the four cancelled trains, one operates between Punjab and Rajasthan, while the other three are within Punjab. Notably, The railways have assured passengers of prompt updates and requested their understanding during this temporary interruption in train services.
