The Meteorological Department, keeping a keen eye on the atmospheric conditions, has issued rain alerts for 7 districts of Punjab, predicting showers within the next three hours. Additionally, a 50 percent chance of rain is anticipated in other districts, promising a refreshing change.
The Meteorological Department forecasts the likelihood of rain continuing in Punjab, even spilling into the following Sunday. Key districts, including Patiala, Mohali, Fatehgarh Sahib, Ludhiana, Rupnagar, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar, and Hoshiarpur, are expected to experience heavy rainfall within the next few hours, accompanied by gusty winds at speeds reaching 40 km/h. Earlier in the day, rain graced regions such as Kapurthala, Tarn Taran, Jalandhar, Amritsar, Gurdaspur, Hoshiarpur, and Pathankot.
As the week unfolds, no further rain alerts have been issued in Punjab until Thursday. However, a weather shift is anticipated starting Thursday, suggesting a change in the atmospheric conditions. For the present day, the average temperature in Punjab is expected to drop, with a noticeable decrease in the day’s minimum and maximum temperatures. Most cities in Punjab may experience temperatures around 32 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature is predicted to hover around 23 degrees Celsius.
