NIA Seizes Garmkhaiyali Gurpatwant Singh Pannu’s Properties in Punjab & Chandigarh

CHANDIGARH: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has taken decisive action against Gurpatwant Singh Pannu, the head of the banned  Sikhs for Justice (SFJ), by seizing his properties in Punjab and Chandigarh.

Under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), the NIA has successfully seized 46 kanals of property belonging to Pannu in Khankot village, located in his native Amritsar. The seized property primarily consists of arable land, making a significant statement against his activities.

In addition to the property in Amritsar, Pannu’s residence in Sector 15 C of Chandigarh has also been confiscated by the NIA. Notably, this is not the first time Pannu’s assets have been attached, as a similar action was taken in 2020.
