India Secures Fourth Gold at Asian Games as Women Shine in Shooting Event

HANGZHOU: India’s performance at the Hangzhou Asian Games remains outstanding, with the women’s 25m pistol team event securing the nation’s fourth gold medal. The trio of Manu Bhaker, Esha Singh, and Rhythm Sangwan displayed remarkable skill and determination, ultimately emerging victorious against a strong Chinese contingent.

In the qualification round of the women’s 25m pistol event, Manu Bhaker secured the top spot, showcasing her exceptional talent. Esha Singh secured a commendable fifth position, while Rhythm Sangwan secured the seventh spot, highlighting India’s strong presence in the event.

This Victory marks India’s fourth gold medal at the ongoing Asian Games, further solidifying the country’s prowess in the sporting arena. Prior to this triumph, the women’s rifle team had secured a silver medal in the 50m rifle-3 position event, showcasing the nation’s consistent success and dedication in the games.

The women’s rifle team, comprising Ashi Chouksey, Manini Kaushik, and Sift Kaur Samra, put up a remarkable performance, securing a silver medal in the highly competitive event. Their final score of 1764 earned them a well-deserved place on the podium, showcasing India’s competitive edge at the Asian Games 2023. While China clinched the gold medal, Korea secured the bronze, highlighting the fierce competition among the top contenders.
