Modi only PM after Independence who worked to solve problems of Sikhs: Sirsa

New Delhi: BJP National Secretary Manjinder Singh Sirsa held meetings with members of Sikh community in Chhattisgarh state in different cities and apprised them of good works done by Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi for Sikh community and asserted that PM Modi was only PM after Independence who has worked for solving problems being faced by Sikh community and for their welfare.

Interacting with members of Sikh community Raipur, Bhilai, Rajnandgaon and other cities, Mr. Manjinder Singh Sirsa told members of Sikh community how during last more than 9 years PM Modi had worked for welfare of community and for solving problems of the community.

He said that it was first time during tenure of PM Modi that birth anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib was observed at Red Fort. He said that it was only first time in history of India that PM had addressed masses of the country from Red Fort and said that this country owes its existence only because of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib.

He said that first time in Sikh history Government of India has notified December 26 as National day to be observed as Veer Bal Diwas in memory of young sahibzade of Guru Gobind Singh Sahib ji. He said that this decision has led to a huge revolution due to which all children of country studying in schools were taught about history of Chhotte Sahibzade. He said that people including children after learning their history must have thought that such bravery was need of the hour.

He said that it was also first time in history of country that guilty of 1984 Sikh genocide cases including Sajjan Kumar and other guilty were sentenced to life imprisonment only because Modi government formed SIT to re-probe these cases.

Mr. Sirsa also said that it was also first time in history of country that Gatka has been included in National games calendar and Government of India is giving more than Rs. 6 lakh as prize for these games. He said that never in the history of the country, anyone had assumed that a pure Sikh game Gatka will find place in National games and now efforts are being made to get this included in International calendar.
