AAP’s Land Pooling Policy Will Destroy Farmers, Warns Sarabjeet Singh Jhinjer

Patiala –Youth Akali Dal President and Shiromani Akali Dal Core Committee Member Sarabjeet Singh Jhinjer has strongly condemned the Punjab Government’s new Land Pooling Policy, calling it a blatant attempt to grab farmers’ land under the garb of development.

“The so-called Land Pooling Policy is not meant for farmers’ progress but will lead to their destruction. The Bhagwant Mann government has crafted this policy on lies, with the sole aim of forcibly taking away farmers’ land and handing it over to corporate houses,” said Jhinjer.

He reminded that the Hon’ble Punjab and Haryana High Court has already imposed a four-week stay on the policy, proving its anti-farmer nature. “The government must withdraw this policy immediately. Shiromani Akali Dal has been opposing it from day one and will not rest until it is scrapped,” he asserted.

Announcing the next step of the agitation, Jhinjer said, “Tomorrow, Shiromani Akali Dal will hold a massive protest outside the PUDA office in Patiala against the AAP government’s attempt to forcibly acquire Punjab’s land. I appeal to all farmers, residents of Ghanaur, and party workers to join in large numbers so that we can wake up the sleeping AAP government and win this fight for our land.”

Over the past week, Jhinjer has held meetings with youth leaders across Patiala district and visited every village in the Ghanaur constituency to mobilize support for the protest. He expressed confidence that farmers from Ghanaur will arrive in large numbers to strengthen the agitation.

He reaffirmed that Shiromani Akali Dal, under the leadership of Sardar Sukhbir Singh Badal, is the only regional party that has consistently fought for Punjab’s interests. “We have resisted every attack on Punjab’s rights, and we will ensure this destructive policy is rolled back. If the government does not withdraw it immediately, our agitation will intensify across the state,” warned Jhinjer.
