
“This is not merely a financial oversight; it is a deliberate betrayal of the people of Punjab,” Brahmpura declared. “After pledging to protect our interests on July 11, the government has failed us in just two weeks. Such hypocrisy reveals the AAP’s hollow promises and its indifference to the voices of Punjab.”
Brahmpura demanded immediate accountability from Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann: “He must explain how this payment was authorized. If he was not informed, it exposes a serious lapse in governance; if he consented, it is a clear abandonment of his duty to the people.”
The former MLA also highlighted the alarming contradiction of the AAP government celebrating a ₹113.24 crore liability transfer to Haryana on the same day the payment was made. “This government is adept at creating illusions of fiscal responsibility while burying Punjab under new financial burdens,” he asserted.
