Brahmpura, who serves as the Chairman of the Punjab Rural Development Society (NGO) and is a former MLA from Khadoor Sahib Constituency, has characterized these threats as a grave danger to national security and has demanded that the investigation be promptly handed over to the National Investigation Agency (NIA).
“Representing the sentiments of millions of Sikhs worldwide and carrying out my duty to uphold peace in Punjab, I write this letter with a heavy heart. These threats are not merely attacks on a religious shrine; they strike at the spiritual heart of humanity and the very essence of communal harmony in our nation,” Brahmpura articulated in his letter to the Prime Minister.
He highlighted that the sophisticated methods employed to deliver these threats, especially through fraudulent emails, indicate a “highly organized and deep-rooted conspiracy” that may extend across state and international borders. “This situation is clearly beyond the jurisdiction of any single state and mandates the immediate and decisive intervention of the Government of India,” he asserted.
In his correspondence, Brahmpura elaborated on the need for comprehensive action from the central government. He insisted that the investigation into this “terrorist conspiracy” be assigned without delay to India’s premier investigative body, the National Investigation Agency. Additionally, he called for the immediate deployment of the government’s most advanced cyber forensic teams to trace the digital origins of these threats.
The SAD leader also emphasized the importance of conducting a thorough security audit by central experts to establish a “permanent and impenetrable security shield” for the Sri Darbar Sahib complex. He reiterated that the investigation’s scope should not only encompass the apprehension of lower-level perpetrators but also focus on unmasking the true conspirators intent on destabilizing Punjab and the country as a whole.
Concluding his letter, Brahmpura asserted that the sanctity and security of the Golden Temple are non-negotiable, stating that the Sikh community—known for its unwavering patriotism—looks forward to personal intervention and tangible actions from the Prime Minister, rather than mere verbal assurances
