Harpreet Singh( 31)Stabbing Suspect Arrested

Brampton(Canada) Region of Peel – Investigators from the 21 Division Criminal Investigations Bureau have arrested and charged an individual in relation to a recent stabbing on a Brampton transit bus.

At approximately 9:30 p.m., an altercation between two males took place aboard a Brampton transit bus near Bramalea Road and Bovaird Drive. The victim, a man in his 20s, was approached by the suspect when a physical altercation occurred. The suspect then began to attack the victim with an edged weapon. The victim was stabbed multiple times and seriously injured. Fortunately, his injuries were not life-threatening. The suspect, who was a stranger to the victim, fled the area on foot.

After a continuous investigation, Harpreet Singh, a 31-year-old man from Brampton, was identified as the suspect. On Oct. 4, Mr Singh was arrested and charged with the following criminal offences: He was held pending a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton. At the time of the offence, the accused was out on bail for unrelated charges. Investigators are advising the public that the accused acted alone and that there are no further public safety concerns in relation to this incident
