Birmingham/Glasgow (Mandeep Khurmi Himmatpura) The 11th Annual UK Bhangra Awards were proudly organised by Culture Unite at The Conference Suite, West Bromwich. A large number of contestants from various cities across the UK enjoyed the red carpet event to receive the prestigious awards. The grand awards ceremony was hosted by Nadeem Zaidi, Anna Taylor, Apna Bhajan Jagpal and Nindi Kaur. The awards ceremony has once again made a major effort to honour the best artistic talent and artists from within and outside the country. The declared winners were honoured with the magnificent Crystal Star Trophy, Certificate. The decision for the victory in various categories was taken by public voting. From thousands of nominations in 26 categories, this year’s winners were Best Media (PTC Punjabi), Best Reporter (Mandeep Khurmi Himmatpura), Best Presenter (DJ Cams Saggu – Eva FM), Best Bhangra Fitness (BBX Fitness), Best Event (Desi Fest Luton), Best DJ Roadshow (Mix Singh Experience), Best Dhol Artist (Miss Mode), Best Dance Artist (Jodi Dancer), Best Lyricist (Balveer Sehmbi), Best Music Producer (Rishi Rich), Best Musician (Palli Matharu), Best Band (Masti Band), Best Record Label (3Q Records), Best Video Director (Panam Verma), Best Music Video (90ML – Milan feat Parveen), Best Single (Broadway Southall – Inderjit London), Best Album (First Impressions – Amarjit Desi feat. Jas Ritz and Indy Gill), Best Urban Artist (Saloni), Best Newcomer (Gurnur Anand), Best Newcomer (Kisan), Best Female Singer (Neelam Singh), Best Male Singer (B2), Best International Artist (Luv Randhawa), Special Contribution Award (Jyoti Trivedi), Special Contribution Award (Singing Bus Driver Ranjit Singh Veer), Lifetime Achievement Award (Daljit Neer), Inspire Award (Sonia Panesar), Inspire Award (Veronica Mehta), Pioneer Award (Vish) were announced. During the colorful event, famous singers, dancers, musicians and DJs rocked the stage with amazing live performances. Adia Rajvanshi, Amarnoor Singh, Visha, Angel Dancer, Haripa Dancer, Jodi Dancer, M Basharat, Inderjit London, Badal Talwan, Neelam Singh, Boota Pardesi, Jin & Sital, DJ Davy Shergill and team etc. made the audience dance. International artist Sania Ravani also attended the event as a special guest.
