Bathinda | Youth Akali Dal President S. Sarabjeet Singh Jhinjer strongly condemned the Aam Aadmi Party and said that AAP has, in reality, turned into a criminal party. He stated that ever since this party came to power in Punjab, the law and order situation in the state has completely collapsed. Daylight thefts, open murders, robberies and dacoities have become routine.
S. Jhinjer said that the “Saam-Daam-Dand-Bhed” statement given by Manish Sisodia is open proof of the kind of cheap and coercive politics that Aam Aadmi Party wants to impose in Punjab.
He alleged that since the formation of the AAP government, more than 100 incidents of sacrilege have taken place in Punjab. The “broom government” has only done politics on sensitive issues like drugs and sacrilege, but in the last four years it has done no meaningful work for development or public welfare. The government has remained limited to advertisements and hollow speeches.
S. Jhinjer said that Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia are directly responsible for ruining the atmosphere of Punjab.
Speaking on the issue of 328 holy saroops, he clarified that according to the commission’s report, this is not a case of sacrilege, but a financial scam carried out in collusion with some corrupt employees and officials. The holy saroops were given to the sangat, but the due offerings were neither deposited in the trust funds nor were bills issued. The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee has already taken departmental action against 16 accused in this matter. This is not a case of sacrilege, but of tampering with the holy saroops.
He alleged that among these 16 accused is Jaspreet Singh, who was suspended by the SGPC, yet the Aam Aadmi Party appointed him as District President of Amritsar. No questions were raised on this at any level.
S. Jhinjer said that Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is hatching disgraceful conspiracies to defame the Shiromani Akali Dal and the Badal family by targeting Sikh institutions.
He said that Bhagwant Mann and Arvind Kejriwal are atheists who do not believe in the existence of God. Bhagwant Mann reaches the presence of Sri Guru Granth Sahib after consuming alcohol and then goes back on his oath taken in the name of his mother.
Criticising the formation of the SIT, S. Jhinjer said that rattled by the re-emerging strength of Shiromani Akali Dal, the AAP government has constituted a biased SIT to interfere in the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee. The sole purpose of this SIT is to falsely implicate S. Sukhbir Singh Badal under the political agenda of Aam Aadmi Party.
