On behalf of the North American Punjabi Association (NAPA), Executive Director S. Satnam Singh Chahal has made a fervent appeal to the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, not to leave any stone unturned in efforts to secure the safety and release of Nimisha, who is currently facing an uncertain and dire situation.Chahal urged the Indian government to actively pursue all available channels, including diplomatic negotiations, legal support, and humanitarian outreach, to ensure Nimisha’s well-being and safe return. He emphasised that if necessary, the Indian judiciary must also be approached to issue appropriate directions to the Centre to expedite intervention in the matter.
“This is a matter of utmost urgency and human concern,” said Chahal. “The Government of India must step in forcefully and responsibly. Nimisha’s life and dignity are at stake, and it is our moral and diplomatic obligation to act with resolve and compassion.”NAPA also called upon the Indian diaspora, human rights organisations, and international agencies to stand united in pressuring the concerned authorities to work for Nimisha’s safety. The association pledged to offer full support from its side and to raise the issue on every available platform to ensure justice is delivered.
