Milpitas, California / Jalandhar / Chandigarh –North American Punjabi Association (NAPA)  Executive Director Satnam Singh Chahal urges protection of peaceful student voices and rejection of any attempt to derail legitimate educational demands. It remains essential to stand with students who seek meaningful educational reforms that genuinely improve opportunities for the next generation. At the same time, peaceful student protests must never be allowed to be captured or distorted by anti-national forces whose goal is to create disorder and shift the focus away from genuine academic concerns.

Chahal further said that the intense polarisation and hostility visible across online platforms raise serious questions about whether vested interests, both inside and outside the country, are deliberately amplifying student frustration for their own purposes. NAPA have always stood for the values of hard work, equality of opportunity, and the pursuit of excellence. These principles cannot be diluted. Chahal also places full confidence in India’s democratic framework, the rule of law, and constitutional institutions. For this reason, NAPA appeals to all stakeholders to engage in sincere and constructive dialogue, identify and remove any disruptive or ulterior agendas from the current conversation, and keep the focus firmly on solutions that will benefit young people and strengthen our democracy. The future of our students and the integrity of our democratic process must remain the priority.
