Expressing his resentment against the Punjab Government Chahal said that Serve 10 years on contract then another 15 years as a permanent employee. Give your youth, your energy, your loyalty to the system and at retirement, you are handed silence. No pension. No security. No dignity.
Recently, around 1150 professors from Punjab became living examples of this harsh reality. Years of teaching, shaping futures, building the nation yet left without the basic financial respect they earned. Chahal further said that the question is simple .Is public service measured by duration or by designation?
Because today, it seems the system rewards power, not perseverance.This is not just unfair but it is a quiet injustice wrapped in policy.Time to ask:Who truly serves the nation the one-day neta, or the lifetime teacher?
